Thank you to the developers and the herald! This app is exactly what a news app should be... It has the stories I want to read and is not cluttered nor bothersome! The interface is refreshing and very clean!

Visually excellent layout. Only gripe is the article text body is too small on iPad mini. Zoom capability would be helpful.

First rate all round. I like being straight into it without having to log in each time and it is easy to use.

They basically copied the USA Today App and have finally got a newspaper app thats structured in a way thats easy to find the sections and stories your looking for. Bravo!

This app really deserves five stars. My trivial complaint is that the obit headings list (the list of names that you can tap on to read the individual obit) does not include the name of the decedents place of death (village, town or city). In the print edition, I usually scan these before reading the obit. Really though, I love my herald and love the app!

Looks great and provides best coverage of NS news! Love the augmented reality when used with the actual newspaper.

This is not an app, its just a part of Newsstand. And, it doesnt close properly. Needs fixing! Please make a standalone version. SOON, LIKE NOW!!!!

Works well, looks good, but used 1.3GB on my iphone so I had to remove it to clear space. I assume it is not purging its cache properly.

Sometimes the app launches, sometimes it just throws me back to the iOS "Newsstand" folder. Sometimes I can edit comments as Im writing them, sometimes its impossible to edit or to add or remove characters in the body of the comment. Sometimes scrolling works in an article, sometimes I need to do it twice before it works and sometimes touch is entirely unresponsive in the app. Its potentially a great app but desperately needs some bug fixes. Unfortunately if you want to read the Halifax Herald in an iOS device, youre stuck with it.

$12.99 a month!!!! Ridiculously over priced. Not worth it , or downloading. Plus, as noted elsewhere this is part of Newsstand and is not an app. Also, they frequently run the same story twice, side by side!

Seems to work ok. Id like to be able to adjust the type size.
